May 2009…Wine Festival & Picnic Season
May is one of the busiest months on the Central Coast. Wine Festivals, warm weather, concerts in the park, and more... 15C is your headquarters for anything that has to do with food and wine!
NEW ON TAP
Kegs are the wave of the future. They are the best way to ensure freshness and because of this 15C not only has 3 beers on tap but we have the Central Coasts first KEG WINE! That's right, come in and enjoy a taste, glass, half bottle or bottle of 15C house wine. Our first wine comes from an amazing source in Saint Helena, Napa. It is 80% Syrah with 20% Caberent blended in. Allison & Ali blended it with winemaker Jim Neal at Templeton Wine Services and are very happy with it. Come in and try it for yourself...
NEW BEERS
THE BRUERY! These beers are hand crafted by Patrick Rue of The Bruery, which is located in Orange Co. All of the beers are 100% bottle conditioned, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. They create complex flavors from simple ingredients, and commit to producing their beer in the most wholesome of ways. You will NOT find these beers anywhere else on the Central Coast! Come get them while they last!!!

Orchard White is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned Belgian-style witbier. This hazy, straw yellow beer is spiced with coriander, citrus peel and lavender added to the boil and whirlpool. A spicy, fruity yeast strain is used to add complexity, and rolled oats are added for a silky texture.
ABV: 5.7%, IBU: 15, SRM: 3, Release: Year Round

Black Orchard is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned Belgian-style black wheat beer, or “black wit”, if you will. This dark but surprisingly light bodied beer is very drinkable while still having character and complexity. Chamomile is added for its floral aroma, while the coriander and citrus peel give the characteristics of a traditional witbier.
ABV: 5.7%, IBU: 15, SRM: 26, Release: Year Round

Saison Rue is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned, Belgian/French-style farmhouse ale. This is a beer of subtlety and complexity, with malted rye, spicy, fruity yeast notes, biscuit-like malt backbone, and a slight citrus hop character. With age, this beer will dry out and will become more complex with rustic notes of leather and earth from the contribution of a wild yeast strain. Being a Saison, Saison Rue is ambiguous unto itself as it is a different beer when fresh and when aged. We hope you enjoy it in all of its incarnations.
ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 30, SRM: 9, Release: Year Round
Accolades:
Los Angeles International Beer Competition 2008, Gold, French & Belgian Style Saison
BeerAdvocate Magazine, October 2008, "A" Rating
$17/750mL bottle

Our Spring Saison is light blonde in color with a fresh hoppiness and a wild and rustic Brettanomyces character. Lighter in color and alcohol than our Saison Rue, yet equally complex in its own way. Perfect for warmer weather and Spring celebrations.
ABV: 6.5%, IBU: 35, SRM: 4, Release: March - May
$14/750mL bottle
