This wine is a massive, fruit forward GSM Rhone blend crafted in the style that has made Paso Robles famous. Aged almost entirely in neutral French oak, it presents subtle hints of chocolate, roasted meats and dried cherries, but is inclined to change dramatically as the wine opens up. Paso wines of this caliber tend to evolve from first glass to last and they show well now, or aged 10 years or more. Moon Duck has rarely been disturbed, nesting peacefully on gross lees in one of the area’s finest facilities, racked only at the time of bottling. This wine presents an exciting opportunity for the consumer to experience a cult wine from California’s latest and greatest frontier. A prime winegrowing region that boasts hot days, cool nights, fragrant fronts, voluptuous middles, and long finishes. Enjoy!
